This Privacy Policy explains how Cross Forward Media LLC, doing business as Erik Lee Photography ("Erik Lee Photography," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects information when you visit erikleephotography.com (the "Site"), enquire about our services, or engage us as a client.

Erik Lee Photography is based in Haslet, Tarrant County, Texas, and provides event, wedding, portrait, and travel & destination photography services in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex and worldwide. By using our Site or services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

When you submit an enquiry form, email us, book a session, or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, and mailing or event address
  • Details about your event, session, or destination request (dates, locations, guest counts, and preferences)
  • Billing information and payment records (processed by our payment providers — see Section 4)
  • Any other information you choose to share in messages or during our work together

Photographic content

In the course of providing our services, we create and store photographs and related media that may include your likeness and the likeness of people at your event or session. How these images may be used is governed by your service agreement and our Terms of Service.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our Site, certain information may be collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and referring website. See our Cookie Policy for details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and communicate with you about your event, session, or project
  • Prepare quotes, agreements, and invoices, and process payments
  • Provide, schedule, and deliver our photography services
  • Maintain business records and manage our client relationships
  • Improve our Site and services
  • Send you service-related updates and, where permitted, occasional marketing communications you may opt out of at any time
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising or profiling in a way that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

3. Customer Relationship & Scheduling Platform

We use a customer relationship management and scheduling platform (GoHighLevel) to receive and manage enquiries, schedule sessions, send communications, and organize client information. Information you submit through forms or scheduling tools on our Site is stored and processed within this platform on our behalf.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to run our business and provide our services. We may share information with:

  • Service providers who perform functions on our behalf — such as our CRM and scheduling platform, payment processors, email and communication tools, cloud storage and gallery-delivery services, and website hosting
  • Professional advisors such as accountants and attorneys, where reasonably necessary
  • Authorities or others when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer

Our service providers are permitted to use your information only to perform services for us and are expected to protect it. [Confirm your actual payment processor(s) and gallery-delivery service and name them here if you wish to be fully transparent.]

5. How We Protect Your Information

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain business and financial records, resolve disputes, and comply with our legal obligations. Photographic files are retained according to the terms of your service agreement and our standard archival practices. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information. Texas residents, under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), and residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process your personal data and access that data
  • Correct inaccuracies in your personal data
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Obtain a portable copy of data you provided to us
  • Opt out of the sale of personal data or targeted advertising (note: we do not sell personal data or conduct targeted advertising of this kind)

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. You may appeal a decision by replying to our response, and you will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

As a small business, some obligations under the TDPSA may not apply to us; regardless, we honor the core rights above as a matter of good practice.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. When we photograph minors as part of a family or event engagement, we do so at the direction of and with the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Third-Party Links

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites or services we do not control. This policy does not apply to those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page, and your continued use of our Site or services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
